Message From The Vice Chancellor's Desk

The Civil Aviation sector is one of the fastest growing sectors in India. With the growth story, India undoubtedly has the potential to become a significant part of the global supply chain. This will in turn steer demand for trained professionals in the field of aviation. Aviation today is a high technology and skill-oriented sector, therefore, the need for skilling the professionals has become all the more necessary. Professionals with critically required skill sets will be vital to engineer and sustain this growth.

The establishment of Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University (RGNAU) will build a strong foundation on which India's prowess in the aviation sector shall be showcased to the rest of the world. The output of this University- the aviation professionals trained by it would be the force that engineers reform and galvanizes the Indian Civil Aviation sector.

The University has commenced its first undergraduate course i.e. Bachelor of Management Studies is Aviation Services and Air Cargo (BMS) during the academic year 2020-21 in collaboration with Logistics Sector Skill Council (LSC). The academic sessions for the second batches of PGDAO and BFFC had commenced during the year.

It gives me immense pleasure to announce that 90% of PGDAO students (2019 batch) are already placed in renowned airlines/airports. Placement assistance is provided to all the students. It is matter of pride to announce that Ms. Arpita Mishra, BFFC student of RGNAU was inducted as the first lady firefighter of IGI airport, Delhi.

The University is exploring collaboration opportunities with various Institutions, Corporates and Universities in India and abroad to give students and professionals better academic and practical exposure on the aviation sector. RGNAU provides a conducive environment for the learning and personality growth of the individual.

I wish all the students a healthy and enriching learning experience at the Rajiv Gandhi Aviation University.
