        Dr. Vipin Chandra is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University (RGNAU), Fursatganj. He holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, where his doctoral research focused on Digital Image Correlation (DIC)-based experimental methods for fracture and fatigue analysis. He also earned his M.Tech in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Bombay and holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

       His research interests span experimental solid mechanics, fracture and fatigue analysis, advanced composite materials, residual stress evaluation, and AI/ML- based data-driven modeling. Dr. Chandra has played a key role in several industry-sponsored research projects in collaboration with premier organizations such as ISRO, DRDO, and DMRL.

       He is the inventor of innovative and patented techniques such as Automated Crack Extension Measurement (ACEM) and Virtual-DIC, demonstrating his commitment to innovation and translational research. His contributions have been recognized at prestigious forums, including InventInve-25 at IIT Madras.

        A passionate educator and mentor, Dr. Chandra is actively engaged in developing cutting-edge experimental facilities to support advanced testing and simulation of aerospace materials.
