Dr. Pabitra Maji

Dr. Pabitra Maji is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at RGNAU, Fursatganj, since August 2025. Prior to joining RGNAU, he worked as a Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (2024–2025), where he investigated the fabrication and strength of bio-inspired bamboo fibre-based composite plates. He obtained his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (2023), specializing in 3D braided composite plates and shells using finite element methods. His doctoral work included a sponsored project by ISRO (2018–2022) on uncertainty quantification of 3D textile composites. Dr. Maji completed his M.E. in Mechanical Engineering (Applied Mechanics) in 2018 and B.E. in Mechanical Engineering in 2016 from Jadavpur University, Kolkata.
